CAUGHT!!

No foster pups on the furniture!  He's gotta find a home now, I broke him...maybe he came to me that way...yeah, yeah...that's it...he came that way...

I think he's going with the "if I don't look at her, she can't see me" or maybe he's thinking he "blends"??

Worn Out Pup

Seems we managed to wear him out today!

Watched a family movie tonight and when the lights were turned back on, we were treated to Rudy snuggling with his foster-brother, Sparks.  Such a sweet pic!

Look at the Cute Puppy at the Park!!

Since it was such a nice day today, we took a trip to City Park.  Rudy had a great time walking the path, meeting new friends and checking out the pond (especially since it was FULL of squeaky toys)!!

HE CAN FETCH!

If you've never owned a greyhound before, this may come as a surprise to you...greyhounds don't fetch.  Well, not usually...On the track, their concentration is placed on racing.  Once they get to their foster homes, we are usually more focused on the simple things in life like teaching them to work stairs and learning manners (don't jump on the counters, no, you don't belong on my couch, don't steal food from the other pups' dishes, yadda, yadda, yadda).  The fun stuff doesn't usually happen until they get to their furever homes.  That is where they really settle in.  Where their true personality comes out and shines.  Long story, slightly shortened, Rudy is shining already!  He loves to fetch!  And he is the perfect partner.  He chases the toy and brings it right back to you to throw again!  I've had dogs (non-greys) that you've had to wrestle to get the ball back, what a pain!  Rudy just trots right back to you, drops it and patiently waits for you to toss it again.  What fun!  We did lose a football to fetch yesterday though, so only toss what you consider his :) I have to apologize for not getting pictures though...I was having too much fun!

We had lady's night at my place last night.  Rudy did great with the crowd.  There was the initial "hello, HELLO!" then after all the ladies settled in, Rudy snuggled up in his bed and took a nap.  Perfect.  Not underfoot, not in your face and not begging.

Rudy is a nice mix of puppy and greyhound.  Playful when everyone is up and moving and completely chill when it's relax time.  He is going to blend into someone's household like he's been there all his life.  It already feels like he's always been here and it's only been a week!

Can this household be yours?

Rudy has arrived :) After about a week of settling in, it is official, Rudy is just a giant teddy bear! He loves nothing more than to be played with (he LOVES the extra squeaky toys!) and to be pet and snuggled. Since he has been here, he loves the bed right next to mine so he can be close all night long. When it comes time to relax, Rudy is a-okay with that, too. A few pics for proof (note the pink pig toy with 16, YES 16, squeakers in it in the corner:

Brindle Boys are Da Bestest!

Last week, dere was company at FoMa's house.  We might even almost be twins!

It was Krazy Kody!  His Mommy went out of town for de week and stayed wif us.

And by stayed wif us, I mean we sleeped a lots.

We also had some walks.

We definitely had some funs.

Gettin' comfy

Let me shows you da best, most comfortable positions to lay in.  I'm really good at them, but I'd prefer to do more practicin' at mah furever home.  Can you take me there soon please?  FoMa is great, but I know you're better.  (Don't tell FoMa I said that!)

Dis position best accentuates mah big chest (and lungs, duh!) and minimizes mah thunder thighs.

Dis is rule breakin', I knows, but FoMa is teachin' me to only gets on da couch when I'z invited instead of when I wants.
We've got a long way to go, but I'm workin' on it for mah furever family.
Pssst, I really likes da couch.

Do you thinks you could be mah furever family?  I thinks you could.  Just fill out da application at the top right!  Den, I can be yours.  It's dat easy!

Da REAL Roos

I was right.  FoMa definitely tried again.

Looks like I'm a talker!!!  Even da lazy FoBro started talkin'!  FoMa said that it took Phil a long time to learn to talk to her.  She just lubs it when we talks....  when she starts it!  Since FoMa has neighbor's we're supposed to be quiet and normally we are until she encourages us!

Maybe mah furever family could roo wifs me?  I'd lub dat... soooo muchens!

De application is in de links to the top right!  DO ITTTTT!!!!!!!

PS.  I know "OUT!" and "stay" and we're workin' on "lay down".  I has mad skillz to offer to mah furever family!
