Da Roos

Greyhounds are sometimes known for their "talking" but hoomans call it "rooing."

Dere are lots of videos on da YouTubes wif doggies talkin' and FoMa decided to see if I was a "talker" or not.

I wasn't really sure what was going on.  But I was definitely interested.  Knowin' FoMa, she'll probably tries again.

Will you be mah forever family if I can talk to you?  I hope so!  I'm ready to meet you!

New toys are tricky...

FoMa was told that videos are better than pictures.  She agreed, but sometimes she struggles with being a single FoMa and capturing all the right things.

This toy that FoBro has is called a Tug-a-Jug.  You put delicious noms in it (dog kibble, small treats) and then us puppers have to figure out how to get the food out.  This is very good for extremely food motivated dogs.

This video shows how much more food motivated Phil is than I am.  I really liked it when FoMa helped us out!

Maybe my forever family will teach me more puzzles?  I'm looking forward to it!!!

Spring is coming!

FoMa's Facebook (I sometimes like to read over her shoulder, don't judge!) said that spring is here.  Well, someone might have been lying because this happened:

Enjoying almost "spring"

This is Spring?

Dese humans need to work on their weather correlating with their seasons.  Gosh.  I had never seen this white stuff before since I used to live in Florida.  FoMa was plenty excited about it.  FoBro didn't seem to care.  I was very proud of my yellow snow spot!

I wonder if my forever family will get snow at their house???  I can't wait to find out!

NOMNOMNOMs part 2

FoMa got some video of us helping get rid of the left over peanut butter....

That pb container is HUGE.

Well, I am proud to say that FoBro and I took care of this container in less than a month.  If FoMa could find bigger PB containers, I'm sure she'd buy them!  She says she should get some stock in peanut butter.

FoMa promises that frozen peanut butter kongs will be given to me when I find my forever family, because they will love me that much!  I think she's right.

NOMNOMNOMs

FoMa let us clean out the peanut butter container!!!

Sharing nicely.

Look, FoMa, WHOLE HEAD!! Hahahaa.

This is the over-under.  It's a new Greyhound dance/eating move.  You're welcome.

This foster life is pretty awesome, but I'm totally ready for my forever family!!

Ewww a bug in the living room!

I decided to break in the new bed before it goes upstairs to the bedroom, says FoMa.
I really like laying in this space beside the couch, especially when my FoBro is layin' in dah other bed.  FoMa thinks I'm probably a snuggler, but FoBro is kinda greedy wif space, so he doesn't like me being dat near to him.

I raise my paw in the airrrrrrrr, rooin' ayyyy-yo!

Dis mah best side.

Dis mah upside-down grrr face.

zzzzweeet dreams!

Dis is what happens after a long walk and some time at de dog park and fetchin' some balls.

Watch mah skillz!

Sorry for FoMa's laziness, but she claims that if she would have gotten off the couch I would have stopped decorating.  Let's be honest, she's probably right.  Anytime I go near her she just can't keep her hands off me, she just lubs petting me cause I'm so soft.

She particularly lubs my nekked cheeks!  Don't you love them too?

There just aren't enough...

...things to chew or play with here at FoMa's house!!!

Dis bone could definitely be biggers.
And all dese toys?  Pffth, I know mah foreber family will gibs me more.

FoMa says I am a very good boy and that I will make a great addition to a family that doesn't have (really) small dogs or cats.  I'm ok with medium sized doggies though.

I'm definitely a chewer of things.  My first night at FoMa's house, I gave her a present!  It was a sock.  I threw it up for her.  FoMa says that she's glad that I threw it up instead of it giving me a really bad tummy ache.  She also says that this means I have to be watched when it comes to playing with stuffies so I don't try to eat bad things.

I don't mind this problem that I have because it means that FoMa has given my FoBro (Phil) and I some very delicious nomnoms.  We are currently working on a beef knuckle (which I'm chewing on in the 2nd photo) and a really big bone (which I'm working on in the 1st photo).  FoMa says that the bones are for eating and stuffies aren't.  I'm still learning the rules.

Whats the biggest thing I've learned since being with my new FoMa?  I'm so glad you asked!
Let me start by tell you guys that stairs are scary.  VERY SCARY.  You neber know if there are monsters at the top or at the bottom because it's such a long ways!  The first 2 nights were rough, but FoMa was very patient wif me.  Going down was much easier than going up (after that first time anyways)!  After doing the scary stairs 3 times though, I just started doing it on my own!  FoMa says I was like magic!  I'm not even scared of them a little bit anymore.

FoMa says I should probably learn some tricks at some point, but this week she's just thrilled that I learned the stairs and I'm settling in...  even if that means she has to put away all the toys ebery day after I take them ALL out of the toy basket.  She doesn't appreciate my interior designing skills, I can tell.

FoMa, dis is mah sexy gaze.
Please show all da babes.

While FoMa isn't sure how many toys could possibly be left in the toy basket...
I know and I plan on relocating ALL of them for her..

See, I do plays wif de toys for a widdle bit before I strategically place them for decorating.

I'm ready for my forever family...  is it you??
Hint, hint:  de application iz to the right!  (no, your human right)

FoMa thinks its funny...

....when my blankie becomes my cape.

One last post before I go to my furever home, HOPEFULLY!!!!

So, tomorrow I will meet my new furever family (at least that's what foster mom is praying for). To get me ready, foster mom took me to work and she gave me a spa day.  I don't really know what that means except that she put me through TORTURE!! I was put in this big tub and soaked with water. That was after she messed with my rear end for some reason.  I don't know why she was back there, but I DIDN'T LIKE IT!

I was happy until she started messing with my private area!

That's me begging for my foster mom's coworker to save me!

After the humiliation of the bath, I was able to share lunch with foster mom and relaxed a little before we had to leave for the day.

Goodnight all you Rudy followers! I'll be dreaming of my furever home tonight.  I hope to see you tomorrow!

A little note from foster mom....

Hi all you Rudy followers! I just wanted to write a quick note while I had the chance (Rudy likes to hog the computer).  Rudy is an incredible foster boy! Within 24 hours, he was 99% house trained, was sleeping in his crate and eating like a king! We have fostered many dogs in the last couple years and I have fostered several before working with GEGR and with all those dogs, Rudy is one of the easiest.

His personality is open, though somewhat reserved.  It's just been over the last few days that he has come to each of us begging for lovins'.  He absolutely adores resting his head on your chest and having you rub his ears and the top of his head.  He almost collapsed on me, he was in such ecstasy! He would be content to get his ear scritches and lay next to you while you're relaxing in front of the t.v.

Rudy is wonderful with children of all ages, as I'm sure you saw with his videos, and he's great with all dogs but not cats. He has a trainability to him, but he also has a pretty strong play drive, so he wouldn't do very well in a cat household.

If you are thinking about adopting Rudy, you have chosen a great dog.  Through his playfulness, loving attitude and high intelligence, he's a wonderful choice.  Good luck with your choices, you have a lot of great dogs to choose from (although none as great as Rudy)!
