HE CAN FETCH!
If you've never owned a greyhound before, this may come as a surprise to you...greyhounds don't fetch. Well, not usually...On the track, their concentration is placed on racing. Once they get to their foster homes, we are usually more focused on the simple things in life like teaching them to work stairs and learning manners (don't jump on the counters, no, you don't belong on my couch, don't steal food from the other pups' dishes, yadda, yadda, yadda). The fun stuff doesn't usually happen until they get to their furever homes. That is where they really settle in. Where their true personality comes out and shines. Long story, slightly shortened, Rudy is shining already! He loves to fetch! And he is the perfect partner. He chases the toy and brings it right back to you to throw again! I've had dogs (non-greys) that you've had to wrestle to get the ball back, what a pain! Rudy just trots right back to you, drops it and patiently waits for you to toss it again. What fun! We did lose a football to fetch yesterday though, so only toss what you consider his :) I have to apologize for not getting pictures though...I was having too much fun!
